(Dennis is pictured above during the 1975 World Cup final against the West Indies. Australia put up a brave fight to reach 274 in reply to the Windies 291, Dennis making 16 not out and sharing a last wicket partnership of 41 with Jeff Thomson that briefly threatened the impossible. It was not to be however and the Windies were the worthy winners of the first ever World Cup.)
