Alastair COOK - England - Test Record v New Zealand

England's captain Alastair Cook is pictured above during his second innings in the 1st. Test against New Zealand

at Lord's. He scored 162 (27th. century), his highest score against the Kiwis, hitting seventeen fours. The two

celebration pictures are his 100 (bottom right) and his 150 - middle left. He batted for 540 minutes and the rest

of the side for 577 minutes.  In the next Test, at Headingley, Leeds, Cook passed the record number of Test match

runs by an English batsman, overtaking Graham Gooch's 8,900  - which had stood since 1995.
