The pictures above show Alastair Cook during his fine knock of 76 in England's 1st innings of the 3rd Test against South Africa

at Edgbaston, Birmingham in August 2008. Despite Cook's efforts South Africa went on to claim a 5 wicket victory to take an

unassailable 2-0 lead in the 4 match series. England, to their credit, did fight back well at The Oval with a 6 wicket win, Alastair

again impressive with the bat with innings of 39 and 67.
