The main photo above shows Kevin Pietersen raising his bat to the crowd after his superb century in
England's 1st innings of the 3rd Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in June 2008.
It was a vital innings from Pietersen, with England in trouble at 86-5 when KP was joined at the wicket
by Tim Ambrose following the dismissal of Andrew Strauss, Ian Bell and Paul Collingwood for the addition
of just two runs. The pair shared a vital 5th wicket partnership of 161 to guide England towards a more
than useful total of 364 all out and they then dismissed the New Zealanders for 123 and 232 to record
a comprehensive innings & 9 runs victory. The action pictures show Kevin in full flow during his century.
