The main photo above shows Michael during his superb 103 in England's 1st innings total of 568 in the 1st
Test against the West Indies at Lord's in July 2004. Vaughan followed it up with an unbeaten 101 in England's
2nd innings to help England to 325-5 and victory was assured as the Windies were dismissed for 267.
The inset picture shows Michael during his knock of 41 in England's 1st innings of the 3rd Test against the
West Indies at Old Trafford, Manchester in June 2007. Vaughan also chipped in with 40 in England's 2nd innings
and they went on to record a 60 run victory, the Windies finally all out for 394 in their valiant attempt to reach
what would have been the highest ever 4th innings total in Test cricket. The win at Old Trafford saw Michael
become England's most successful ever captain, his impressive record of 21 wins coming in only 35 Tests
with just 6 defeats. Peter May held the previous record, his 20 victories coming in 41 Tests.
