Monty PANESAR - England - Test Record v Australia

Monty Panesar is pictured above during the 1st Test of the 2009 Ashes series against Australia at Cardiff

in July 2009. Panesar will be best remembered in this match for producing a defiant, match saving last wicket

rearguard action in partnership with Jimmy Anderson; the pair batting out the final 69 balls - with Panesar

scoring 7 not out - to secure England a draw in a nailbiting finale. Alas for Monty he would not feature again

during that series but his battling performance played no small part in England regaining the Ashes that summer.
