The pictures show Monty Panesar during his excellent spell of
51.5-13-137-6 in the West Indies 2nd innings of the 3rd Test at Old
Trafford, Manchester in June 2007. It proved to be a match winning
performance from Monty as the Windies - thanks in the main to a fine
century from Shiv Chanderpaul - pushed England all the way before
finally falling 60 runs short of an unlikely victory target of 454.
Panesar also took 4 wickets in the 1st innings which, in addition to his
6 wickets second time around, meant he had secured his first ever 10
wicket haul in Test match cricket. After the match Monty - who in the
left inset picture above can be seen celebrating a wicket in trademark
style! - was quite rightly awared the Man of the Match award for his
superb performance.
