Paul Collingwood is pictured above during his knock of 26 not out in
England's 2nd innings of the 4th Test against Pakistan at The Oval in
August 2006. The inset picture shows the bizarre moment as Collingwood
and fellow batsman Ian Bell were instructed to leave the field of play
by umpire Darrell Hair. Pakistan refused to play on following
allegations of ball tampering and the Test was awarded to England. This
was the first occurrence of a team winning when the opposition refused
to continue playing in the history of Test cricket. However, in July
2008, in a somewhat strange twist, the result was overturned and the
match deemed to be a draw! Paul enjoyed a fine series with the bat
against Pakistan that summer, scoring 324 runs at an average of 54.
