(Phil is pictured above during his Test match debut against Australia in August 1975. It proved to be a memorable occasion for the Middlesex man as he returned the exceptional figures of 20-7-28-5 in Australia's 1st innings. Edmonds played in the next Test at The Oval but was then cast into the international wilderness for the best part of three years before returning against Pakistan in Hyderabad in January 1978.)
