Steve Harmison is pictured above during his superb spell of 19.2-8-33-4
in South Africa's 2nd innings of the 4th Test at The Oval in September
2003. An England victory had looked highly unlikely after South Africa
had compiled an imposing total of 484 in their 1st innings, but an
excellent response from the home side saw them take a 1st innings lead
of 120, Marcus Trescothick making a brilliant 219.
Harmison's four
wicket burst, which included the prize wicket of Jacques Kallis, then
saw the South African's dismissed for 229 and England went on to
complete an excellent 9 wicket victory, Trescothick this time weighing
in with a quickfire 69 not out off just 66 balls. Steve's statistics
include 1 Test playing for the ICC against Australia (14th-17th October
2005) at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
