In 2016 he played 12 Tests. Four against England & Australia (one in early 2017*).
Three against The West Indies and two against New Zealand & Sri Lanka
His best scores were 49 & 149 against England at Lord's in their 1st. Test and 137 & 139 in the 1st.
Test against Australia in Brisbane. Plus 68 & 58 against The West Indies in Abu Dhabi.
In 2017 just five Tests *. Three against The West Indies, two against Sri Lanka and
one against Ireland. Scores of 59, 112 and 124 against Sri Lanka topped the runs
with a 59 against Ireland.
2018 saw Tests In England (2), Australia (2) New Zealand (3) and South Africa (3 two in early 2019)
the third actually in 2019. His three centuries was against Australia 121 (1st Test), New Zealand
104 (2nd Test) and South Africa 108 (2nd Test) but scores of 88, 80, 65 (twice)
62, 45, 43, 41 and gave him a good average of 38.94 for his career stats on his 33rd birthday.
In 2019 Asad Shafiq played in six Test matches. Two against both Australia, South Africa and
Sri Lanka. His highest score was 88 in his 2nd. innings in the 2nd.Test against South Africa in
Cape Town. Against Australia he hit 76 (1st. Test) and 57 (2nd. Test) but against Sri Lanka he
had just on innings - 63 in the 2nd. Test. He took 7 catches in the six Tests.
2020. One Test against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi and three against England in the UK where
he scored 67 runs in five innings. Won one, drew two, lost one.
