Robert PIRES - Arsenal FC - UEFA Champions League 2005/06 (Final)

Robert is pictured above during the Champions League final against Barcelona on 17th May 2006.

Pires was the unfortunate man to make way following Jens Lehmann's early dismissal and that

would prove to be the final match that the gifted Frenchman would play for the Gunners as he

moved on to Villarreal in the summer. Arsenal produced a heroic performance on the night and

took the lead through Sol Campbell's 37th minute header before two late goals condemned

them to a heartbreaking defeat.
