Mark Draper's fine form for Leicester City in the 1994-95 season
resulted in a £3,250,000 move to Aston Villa in the close season. His
Villa career got off to a promising start, he scored on his debut
against Manchester United, but towards the end of his time at Villa Park
he found himself out of favour with manager John Gregory. Draper made
just one substitute appearance in his last season with the West Midlands
club and moved on to Southampton for £1,500,000 in the summer of
2000. He is pictured above during the 2-1 defeat against Derby County on
12/4/1997.
