in 3rd. round  replay of the F.A. Cup. Three days earlier they drew 1-1.


In season 1991–1992 Smith was named as the club's Player of the Year.

He played over 100 games for the "Tykes" in just under three years before

joining Neil Warnock's Notts County in 1992.
