The kit worn by Belgium in London was a tribute to Belgian cartoonist Georges Prosper Remi,

known by the pen name 'Herge' and his intrepid reporter "Tintin" and replicates Tintin's outfit

of a collared blue shirt, brown trousers and white socks.

Tintin first appeared in the Brussels "Le Petit Vingtieme" newspaper supplement in

1929 and travelled all over the globe. His adventures have sold more than 270 million comics worldwide

and have been translated into 70 languages.
