Roger Hynd is pictured playing for Birmingham City during their
0-0 draw with Derby County.
Roger died, aged 75, at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Glasgow,
on 18th. February 2017, from Multiple Myloma cancer (diagnosed in 2009).
He attended Lanark Grammar school as a boy and whilst an apprentice at
Rangers FC. attended the Scottish School of Physical Education at
Jordanhill College, where he qualified to teach PE.

Roger Hynd had a brief spell as manager of Motherwell before leaving
professional football to work as a PE teacher. He was the nephew of Bill Shankly.
His mother was Bill Shankly's sister.
