Jon Harley joined Chelsea as a Youth Trainee, signing professional
forms in March 1997. With competition for the left back spot fierce -
Graeme Le Saux and Celestine Babayaro were also vying for the position -
he found it difficult to establish himself in the starting line-up. Jon
moved on to Fulham in the summer of 2001 with the Blues banking a
healthy £3,500,000 for the talented defender. He is pictured above
during the 2-1 win against Newcastle Utd. on 9/4/2000 in the semi-final
of the F.A. Cup.
