| A £775,000 signing by Glenn Hoddle in the summer of 1994, Scott
unluckily suffered with injuries and illness during his time with the
Blues. He made a total of 72 appearances in all competitions, scoring
five goals, before a free transfer move to Benfica in June 1997. This
came shortly after he had appeared in the 1997 FA Cup final victory
against Middlesbrough. Scott is pictured above during the match against
