, following the path of manager Howard Kendall who also left City to return to Merseyside.
He played a further 51 league games for the club before a free transfer to Luton Town in

Alan Harper joined Everton in June 1983 from local rivals Liverpool. He spent five years in his first
spell at Goodison, playing 127 league games in a variety of positions, before a £275, 000 move to
