A £200,000 signing from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 1977, Dave Thomas had much to
do with Bob Latchford's return of 30 league goals in the 1977/78 season as the Blues enjoyed a
third place finish. He helped the Toffees to a 4th place finish the following campaign before a
£420,000 move to Wolves in October 1979.
