Jim Pearson moved to Goodison Park from Scottish side St. Johnstone
in July 1974 for a fee of £100,000.
He spent four seasons on Merseyside, playing 87 league games,
before a £70,000 switch to Newcastle United.

Pearson went on to work for Nike where he played a pivotal role
in the evolution of the Nike brand in the UK as Head of Football,
he held that position for 14 years. He was 'signed up' by Brendan Foster
a former European 10,000 metres champion. He also managed a team
in Brunei for three years.
Pearson then worked as a Sports Consultant for
Blacks Solicitors LLP in Leeds.
