After a highly successful spell in French football with Monaco, John Collins returned to
British football with a £2,500,000 move to Everton. The transfer came shortly after Collins
had performed admirably for Scotland in the 1998 World Cup finals in France. He spent two
years at Goodison Park but the chance to link up again with Jean Tigana, his boss at Monaco,
proved too good to turn down and he dropped down a division with a £2m switch to Fulham.
He is pictured above during the 1-0 defeat against Everton on 29th April 2000.
