Mark had been on Everton's books as a youngster but was released without playing a game.
He returned to Goodison in August 1991, Howard Kendall paying West Ham £1 million for the
services of the livewire midfielder. Ward spent nearly three years with the Blues, scoring 7 goals
in 93 games, before a £500,000 move to Birmingham City in March 1994.
He is pictured above during the 2-0 defeat against Arsenal.
