Micky joined Everton from Blackpool in August 1978, manager Gordon Lee parting with £325,000
to secure the services of the Republic of Ireland forward. Sadly Micky did not enjoy the best of times
at Goodison, his 29 appearances bringing just 3 goals, and he moved on to Queens Park Rangers
after just 7 months in a straight swap for Peter Eastoe. Micky is pictured above during the
0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest on 4/11/1978.
Mickey spent six years playing in Portugal with FC Porto and appeared in their
2–1 defeat by Juventus in the 1984 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final in Basel.
