Peter Reid arrived at Goodison Park in December 1982 for £60,000 from
Bolton Wanderers - a fee that must represent one of the bargains of all
time. Indeed, Howard Kendall described Reid as Everton's most important
post-war signing. Peter won two championships (1984/85 & 1986/87),
the FA Cup (1984) and the Cup Winners Cup (1984/85) during his time with
the Toffees. He moved on to Queens Park Rangers in February 1989 on a
free transfer. Peter is pictured above during the 1-1 draw against
Oxford United.
