Roger Kenyon came to prominence at Goodison Park when replacing
the injured Brian Labone during the championship run-in of 1969/70, his
assured displays meaning that the loss of England centre-half Labone did
not damage the Toffees title charge. When Labone's career was cut short
by injury in 1971 Roger was the ideal replacement and he remained a
first team regular for years to come. He moved on to Vancouver Whitecaps
in February 1979 after serving the club superbly for over a decade.
Roger is pictured above during the match against Norwich on 6/9/1975.
He played 50 games for The Whitecaps in 1981-82 and then had spells at Blackpool and Altringham.
