Stephen Hughes moved to Goodison Park in a £3 million deal from
Arsenal in March 2000 after struggling to claim a regular place in the
Gunners starting line-up. His stay on Merseyside was something of a
disappointment and he moved on to Watford in the summer of 2001 after
just 29 league games for the Toffees. He is pictured above during the
2-1 win against Southampton on 14/10/2000.
