Local lad Steve Seargeant joined Everton as an apprentice, signing professional forms in July 1968.
Steve enjoyed his best season at Goodison during the 1974/75 campaign when he featured in 35
of the 42 league games, helping the Blues to a 4th place finish in the process. He moved on to
American side Detroit Express in February 1978 for whom he played 79 games. He played a further
29 games for California Surf.
