A £2.2m capture from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 1994, Vinny Samways never really lived up to that hefty price tag during his time at Goodison Park. He played just 23 league games in nearly three years for the Blues before a £700,000 switch to Spanish side Las Palmas in May 1997. Vinny is pictured above holding aloft the 1995 Charity Shield after he had scored the only goal of the game against Blackburn. |
