Holger HIERONYMUS - Germany - International career.

Holger Hieronymus playing for Germany in their 2-1 away win against

England at Wembley Stadium. It was his third and last appearance

for his country.

His Bundesliga career was ended on 31st March 1984, in the game

against SV Waldhof Mannheim. With less than fifteen minutes left,

Hieronymus received a career-ending injury. A cruciate ligament rupture

synchronized with a deltoid ligament rupture and, together with,

a caused menisci and knee cartilage damage he was forced him to retire.
