Transferred to Plymouth Argyle in October 1976
for £50,000.

Having already suffered a fractured skull playing for Ipswich, and then a further
head injury
early in his second season with Argyle meant the club sought specialist advice.
He retired from professional football at the age of just 22.
Peddelty become a policeman, and worked for Suffolk Police for 28 years,
before retiring from the force in 2010.
