| Chris Fairclough joined Leeds from Tottenham Hotspur in March 1989 for a
fee of £500,000. He spent over six years at Elland Road and was an
important member of the championship winning side of 1991/92. He moved
on to Bolton Wanderers in July 1995, the 'Trotters' paying £450,000 to
secure the services of the central defender. He is pictured above during
