Kasper SCHMEICHEL - Leicester City FC - Premier League Appearances

Kasper Schmeichel saves the penalty that helped Leicester beat Liverpool 1-0 at home

in the Premier League. He saved Mo Salah's shot, a man who had not seen a failure since 2017 !

It was only the 3rd miss in 22 attempts for the Liverpool goal machine. Lookman's goal won the

game for The Foxes.

411 League Appearances (+0 as sub).

On 15th May 2021 Kasper Schmeichel led his team, Leicester City, to victory in the

F.A. Cup final at Wembley Stadium in front of a Covid limited crowd of 21,000.

Never in 137 years had The Foxes won the competition - four defeats 1949, 1961,

1965 & 1969 - it had been a long wait for the 2016 Premier League Champions.

And did Kasper play his part !  Following Youri Tieleman's stunning 63rd minute goal

the Captain was called upon to make two world class saves. In the 78 minute from

Ben Chilwell (yes the former Foxes Premiership winner) and an outstanding flying stop

from Mason Mount in the 87 minute.  Two 'men of the match':  Kasper and Youri.
