Released at end of season.
To end his fabulous career at Leicester City Wes Morgan added an F.A. Cup winner medal to his collection
when The Foxes won their first ever Cup Final. Playing in front of a Covid limited 21,000 crowd at Wembley
Stadium manager Brendan Rogers included the veteran defender amongst his substitutes. The 37 year old
came on in the 82 minute and 'enjoyed' a thirteen minute cameo ! A Ben Chillwell cross from the Chelsea
defender (yes, that Ben Chillwell) straight into the penalty box was wacked by Caglar Soyuncu but onto
Wes's leg and there upon past keeper Kasper Schmeichel. 1-1 extra time !
Enter the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). No goal, Ben was offside. HISTORY IS MADE. 1-0 to The Foxes.
