Liverpool's Alan Kennedy scores the winning goal in the 1981 European Cup Final against Real Madrid.
It gave Liverpool their third victory in the competition. It was later called
the Champions League Final and in 2018 the two teams met again - Madrid winning that Final.

Liverpool's manager Bob Paisley became the first manager to win the competition three times.
They faced German champions Bayern Munich in the semi-finals. The first leg at Anfield ended in a 0–0 draw.
Liverpool needed to score in the second leg to advance to the final. The second leg ended 1-1 and Liverpool
won on the away goals rule. Another Kennedy (Ray) scored The Reds vital away goal.
This is the moment Alan won his second Champions League medal. Scoring Liverpool's 4th. goal in the 1984
European Cup Final penalty shoot out. His goal made it 4-2 and Rome were thus defeated. The game had ended 1-1 after
extra time at Rome's home ground The Olympic Stadium. 69,693 fans attended the game on May 30th 1984.
Joe Fagan was the Liverpool manager. Liverpool's goal in the game came from defender Phil Neal and he scored the
first of Liverpool's penalties. Graeme Souness, Ian Rush and A.K.(above) scored the others.
