in the process setting a new record for the biggest victory in Champion League history.

The scoreline eclipsed the previous mark of 7:0 held jointly by Juventus

(against Olympiakos in 2003) and Arsenal, who had beaten Slavia Prague 7:0 just a few weeks earlier.)
