After a successful couple of years at Wimbledon, Oyvind Leonhardsen made the move north to Liverpool
in the summer of 1999 with the Reds paying a fee of £3, 500, 000. It was not a particularly fruitful stay
at Anfield and after making just nine League appearances in the 1998-99 season, the Norwegian moved
back to the capital with a £3 million switch to Tottenham Hotspur.
