Steve returned to Anfield on a free transfer in the summer of 1998 after serving Aston Villa
superbly for seven years. It proved to be a a fairly shortlived second spell on Merseyside
and he returned to Villa in December 2000, also on a free transfer. Steve is pictured above
during the 3-0 win against Port Vale on 3/1/1999 in the 3rd round of the F.A. Cup.
