              After retiring from playing Paul Lake becoming a physiotherapist,  
            following his physiotherapy studies at Salford University.  He worked at 
            Altringham, Burnley, Oldham Athletic, Macclesfield Town and Bolton 
            before running his own physiotherapy practice in Greater Manchester.  
            His autobiography entitled "I'm Not Really Here" (a play on words on the popular 
             Manchester City chant) detailing his struggle with injury.
