Mark ROBINS - Manchester United - League appearances for Man Utd.

Mark is often described as the man who saved Alex Ferguson's job at Manchester United. For it was the little striker who headed a vital winner against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round in January 1989. At that time United were struggling badly in the league but they went on to win the FA Cup that year and the rest, as they say, is history! Despite some fine performances thereafter Mark was never able to nail down a regular place in United's starting line-up and he moved on to Norwich City for a fee of £800, 000 in August 1992. He is pictured above during the 3-2 win against Newcastle on 18/2/1990 in the 5th round of the F.A. Cup.
