scored a vtial penalty in the
shoot-out to keep United in contention after Cristian Ronaldo had
surprisngly missed and when John Terry failed with what would have been
the winning kick
the Red Devils were back in business. Edwin Van Der Sar
was the hero of the hour when he won
the cup for United by saving
Nicolas Anelka's spot kick, with Ryan Giggs having scored what
proved to
be the decisive penalty.
