The match finished 1-1 a.e.t with United winning the ensuing penalty shoot-out 6-5. The main picture above shows the United players - an ecstatic Rio is far right - charging towards goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar after the Dutchman had saved Nicolas Anelka's penalty to win the cup for the third time in the clubs history.
