Scott McGarvey scored his first goal for United in a 2-0 win at home to Tottenham Hotspur on 17th April 1982.
His other goals for the club came in a 1-0 win against Southampton a fortnight later and a 2-1 home
win over West Ham on 22nd March 1983. He moved to Portsmouth for £85, 000 in July 1984 having
never managed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford. Scott is pictured above during the match
