David Jones played for the Wales national team between 1976 and 1980,
playing eight matches and scoring one goal. He played his first match on
6th May 1976 against Scotland and his last match on 17 May 1980 against England.
After his retirement, he moved into amateur football with Wroxham before moving to the
South Coast where he coached Bournemouth's youth team.
David coached Lymington and
New Milton who won the Jewson Wessex League in 1998/99.
His side beat Wroxham 2-1 to win the Jewson Challenge Shield in September 1999.
David moved onto Bashley in June 2001.
