Colin McAdam was transferred to Rangers from Partick Thistle in the summer of 1980 for £165,000 in the
first transfer deal to be settled by tribunal. Rangers had valued the player at £80 000 with
Thistle demanding £500,000. He is pictured above during the 3-2 win a.e.t. against Celtic
in the 1984 Scottish League Cup final.
Colin McAdam died on 1 August 2013, aged 61, following complications after a heart attack.

After retiring from professional football McAdam become a physical education teacher.
