It was his last League Club and in total he played 677 League games scoring 103 goals.
He managed them for a few months in 2010 but left to manage the Welsh National
Team.
Whilst manager for Wales he committed suicide on 27th. November 2011,
aged just 42. In January 2012 the coroner reached a narrative verdict and stated
that cause of death was by "self suspension", but that there was insufficient evidence
to determine whether it was intentional as he may have intended to make
a "dramatic gesture" and then "nodded off to sleep"
