Chris Lumsdon joined Sunderland as a Youth Trainee and signed
professionally
in the summer of 1997. Unable to establish himself in the
first team, he moved
on to Barnsley in a £350,000 deal in October 2001
following a successful
loan spell with the Tykes. He is pictured above
during the pre-season
match against Chelsea.
