Jeff Clarke arrived at Roker Park in June 1975 as part of the deal which took Dave Watson in the
opposite direction, Sunderland also receiving a fee of £200,000. He loyally served the club for seven years,
making a total of 213 appearances in all competitions, before moving on to Newcastle United in the
summer of 1982.
