Martin Scott moved to Roker Park in December 1994 from Bristol City for a fee
of £450,000 plus Gary Owers,- who was valued at £300,000, travelling in the
opposite direction. Martin played a big part in Sunderland's
First Division championship success in 1995/96 but was troubled by various
injuries thereafter and played just 39 league games over the next 3 seasons.
