At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Great Britain, as the host nation, was entitle to field a
team in the Football Tournament.
Because of the restrictions made upon them by the various Home Nations F.A.s a number of
less well known players were called up for the Games. Swansea's Joe Allen was one of those chosen
for the Great Britain team.
Here he is pictured at Wembley Stadium on Sunday July 29th. playing in the 3-1 win over the
United Arab Emirates. Days after this photograph was taken Joe signed for Liverpool Football Club.
